About me
Hi! I'm Alondra Bagatella and I'm 11 years old.
Alondra Bagatella Avalos was born in Jalisco, Mexico. At 13 months old she had her first contact with chess pieces, and by preschool she was already taking formal classes, showing a natural talent that soon carried over into other disciplines like mathematics and robotics.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Alondra deepened her interest in chess — watching virtual classes and asking for a specialized coach. Since second grade she has represented Jalisco and Mexico in national and international tournaments, achieving notable results like first place (girls' category) in her international debut.

Alondra applies chess principles to daily life: order, strategy and responsibility. With high intellectual abilities, she counts on support from teachers across disciplines, while always keeping the joy of her childhood.
A Champion's Thoughts
“In chess, as in life, what matters most isn't what you lost, but what you're going to do with what you have left.”
“My mission isn't just to win, it's to learn from every move to be better than yesterday.”
“No matter where you come from, any pawn has the potential to be crowned and become what it dreams of.”
